Terms of Use
Family Health · Updated 23 Sep 2026
Family Health is not a medical device.
The app helps you record and follow your readings over time. It does not diagnose
conditions, does not prescribe treatment, does not replace a healthcare professional, and
must not be used for emergency decisions.
Acceptance
By using the app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
What the app does and does not do
- Camera-based heart rate is a reference figure, not a medical measurement, and can be wrong.
- Blood pressure, blood glucose, blood oxygen, and weight are values you enter or sync from Apple Health. The app does not measure them with the phone's sensors.
- Classification bands (for example “high”, “normal”) come from publicly published reference thresholds. They are information, not a conclusion about your health.
- The self-assessment questionnaires are reference screening tools, not psychological diagnoses.
- Reminders depend on the operating system delivering notifications. Do not rely on the app to avoid missing critical medication.
In an emergency: if you believe you or someone you care for is in danger,
call emergency services or go to the nearest medical facility. Do not enter a number into
the app and wait to see what it says.
Accounts and family groups
- Sign in with Apple is optional and needed only for family groups.
- You are responsible for who you invite and which profiles you share.
- Creating a profile for another person means you confirm you are entitled to record that person's health data.
- Do not use family groups to monitor someone without their knowledge.
Premium subscriptions
- Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled and are managed in your Apple ID settings.
- Cancellation takes effect from the next billing period; the period already paid for remains available.
- Refunds are decided by Apple under App Store policy, not by us.
- Cancelling Premium does not delete your data; some features become locked again.
Your content
The health data you enter is yours. We claim no rights over it and use it for nothing beyond
running the features you turned on.
Limitation of liability
The app is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable
for health decisions made on the basis of figures shown in the app, for notifications that
fail to arrive, for data lost through device failure or your own deletion, or for what a
person you granted access does with the data they can see.
Changes
These terms may be updated. Material changes will be announced in the app before they take
effect.
